Our 1970s Home Near Heidelberg, Germany

I am going to try and do better with my Germany updates! I want to blog about more things that are currently happening! First, I want to talk about our home here in Germany. We have big plans and we cannot wait to take you along on the journey. If you are new here, Robin and I met in Thailand in 2016. We lived in California for a couple of years and in December 2019, we decided to move back to Robin’s hometown near Heidelberg, Germany.

Now that you’re all caught up…

We live in a small village near the big city! I am definitely a city girl, but our home makes me so excited for the future. We currently live in the bottom apartment in our 4 apartment building. It is a quaint 1 bedroom, 1 bath with a kitchenette and a beautiful sunset view daily. We are still shopping for the living room furniture, so the big reveal will come! I promise. Our goal for the living room is a boho chic vibe. Here’s our living room board.

We are so excited to continue to decorate and add little touches to this apartment we call home for now.

Home details

Our home has been in the Strubel family for over 50 years and Robin (my husband) grandfather built this home. When he lived here before, he renovated the 3rd floor apartment to a bachelor pad. We cannot wait to share more details about what we plan to do, but I thought an update was necessary. I know I have been silent about the Germany adventure. We have been doing so much behind the scene and are ecstatic to finally talk about it.
