TSA Precheck
A couple weeks ago on #TravelTuesday on Instagram we headed to Cabo viturally! Most of y’all had to wait in the long TSA line because you did not have TSA Precheck! No worries, I am going to help you navigate the process, so when you can travel safely you’ll be able to enjoy the TSA precheck perks!!
I originally got TSA precheck because my friend messaged me and told me “you travel so much, you need to get precheck, so you can avoid the lines.” I really didn’t reap the benefits until I was in Puerto Rico for my brother’s wedding & everyone left for the airport because the lines were long. My husband & I were flying a bit later, so we hung out and hung around. We got to the airport about an hour later and got through before my family members. Whether you’re headed somewhere for the weekend or internationally, here’s some packing tips.

What is TSA?
Transport Security Administration is an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that oversees the security of the traveling public
TSA precheck allows you to skip the regular TSA line. You can keep your shoes on & no need to worry about removing your laptop, liquids, belts or light jacket. Just slide on through to your gate!
How much does it cost?
$85 for a 5-year membership. So basically $17 a year! Most major credit cards will actually reimburse you for TSA precheck adn global entry, so its basically free.
If you are convinced that you need to be part of the skip the line club, here how to get started!

STEPS ONCE YOU RECEIVE YOUR KNOWN TRAVELER NUMBER AKA VIP TICKET!
When my husband and I got TSA we just ran with our number. NO NO NO! When buying your ticket there’s a spot that says known traveler number, make sure to add it there. Another option is to add the number before you check in! Your ticket should read “TSA PRECHK.”
No number, no skipping the line. Imagine paying $85 then standing in line, taking out your laptop, liquids and taking off your shoes. This was me the first time yall! I was so sad and of course my husband put salt on the wound.
“I told you this TSA stuff wasn’t worth it” *eyeroll*
If you do not see “TSA Pre” on your ticket, its not too late! You can go to the check in & have one of the lovely staff help you check in!
Cannot wait see you walking through airport security with your shoes on! #heyATAG
At the end of the day, I hope this helps ease your TSA worries!
