How to repurpose your content to TikTok

TikTok is a growing platform, but the thing is no one has seen your content that you’ve let dry up on your blog, Instagram, Pinterest etc. Instead of creating new content, you can use the content you already have to gain clients from TikTok.

In this video, I talk about how you should approach TikTok when recreating your content.

#1 Understand what TikTok viewers

TikTok is all about quick facts and learning something that can change your perspective or make life a little easier. That being said, when recreating your content think about how you can wow the viewer. Kind of like the “I was this many years old when..” trend. That has shown to be true with the viral TikTok Salmon by Emily Mariko, which I want to eat on a weekly basis. So about how your brand can give a lifetime hack.

#2 Market Research

Market research is so important when starting any type of business, but even more important when creating social media pages. Yes, we want to stand out! BUT you also don’t want to go around reinventing the wheel. If something works on a particular platform, the best thing is to figure out how you can replicate it with a spin of your own. Remember market research is about inspiration and studying, so that you can make an informed decision on how you want to create your content. Take a look at what people in your niche are doing on TikTok. You can always create your own trends and spice things up

5 ways TikTok is different from Reels

If you’ve been a reader for sometime, you know that I LOVE Instagram reels. I’ve helped dozens of businesses grow their platforms with the strategies I teach in The Reel Course Real Growth.

With that being said, reposting an Instagram reel onto TikTok is not going to cut it and if you want to learn how to master the platform and get paid, check out Master TikTok & GET PAID in 60 minutes!

Here’s why:

  1. TikTok is niche focused which means you pick a niche and you ride with it. I decided to go with a family page because of the market research I did. Over at @thestrubelfamily we talk about living in Germany, our love story and our day-to-day life.
  2. Skits are popular. I’ve been studying reels since the beginning and skits are really a thing. I haven’t tried skits myself, but the green screen is used frequently on TikTok.
  3. The TikToks that go viral usually are a hack or telling a story. Storytelling is huge which makes it easier for you because you can just get on face to camera and tell your story.
  4. I haven’t done it, but there are people who are doing 10 videos a day. This sounds crazy, but a short Instagram story can be a TikTok. I’ve repurposed many of my stories into videos.
  5. Lastly, lose the aesthetics. TikTok is raw and real. Yes, there are filters, but you don’t need to get all dolled up to have a successful video!
