These last two years in my business have been busy, but so much fun. I started my new signature group program The Profitable Creator and spent more time traveling! I will be sharing with you how you can leverage the story feature to create a profitable Instagram.
One of the biggest lessons I learned is that although everyone makes 10K followers a highlight of business on Instagram, I have been able to make a full-time online without that magic number.
That’s why the strategies I teach in my programs, courses, masterclass, etc are not numbers geared, but strategies that can be used no matter how many followers you have. Having a profitable Instagram does NOT mean you need to have lots of followers. If you’re just starting out, don’t feel the pressure to post daily or create content that does not align with your brand!
Here’s how I made $1,000 on vacation while sipping a piña colada on the beach… AND your plan to do it too!
1. Gear up your community
Prior to going on vacation, I didn’t tell my community where I was heading and I let them know that only Instagram story viewers would be able to get the full outlook on what I was up to. You can even create a post! This strategy helped TRIPLE my IG story views while traveling! People like to feel that they have the inside scoop on things you are doing.
2. Plan your story content
Yes, you can wing IG stories showing your day, BUT you want the main things you will be selling online to be planned out. During this time I sold the IG story vault 😉 which is a $27 dollar product. I say this because your product/service doesn’t need to be high ticket for you to be successful in selling it.
3. Talk about your product IN DETAIL
You cannot have a profitable Instagram and not sell your products/services. Remember that people need what you’re offering, so you want to consistently be selling on your social media platforms, This isn’t a post a graphic and keep it moving type of selling. You want to describe EXACTLY what your product does and who it is for. Let me break down the stories you’ll post
DAY 1: “I am so excited to talk to you about a product/service that will help you [how it will help].” You want it to be clear that something is coming and they should be on the lookout and also let them know who you created.
DAY 2: Introduce the product and the ideal client. Don’t forget to post your testimonials! If it’s a new product/service you can use yourself as a testimonial. If you have had clients use your product, don’t be shy to ask them for testimonials. This can be a quick DM through Instagram, an email, a video or even a voice message.
Day 3: Explain the transformation you or your clients have had with the use of your product. A before and after vibe.
You don’t need to spend the entire vacation selling to earn a profit, but these 3 steps are POWERFUL! Remember that someone needs to see your content more than once to purchase, so posting this sequence one time will not be enough. You want to continually share social proof like clients’ purchasing, results, etc.
